1Why Pre-school?
It is scientifically proved that 85 % of a child’s brain develops in the first 6 years. Experts opine the first 6 years are the ideal time for your child to learn about perception, creative thinking, reasoning, language, music, counting, science, computers, ethics, reading, social interaction, good behavior.
2What is the right age for the child to start going to pre-school?
1.5 to 2 yrs. is the right age for the child to start going to pre-school. You’d be amazed by what infants are capable of doing. Your child can :
• Discriminate tastes and smells by the age of 2 months.
• Recognize toys by the age of 4 months.
• Distinguish faces and voices by the age of 6 months.
• Understand several words and retain mental images by 12 months.
• Remember pictures and use memory to relate to familiar objects by the age of 18 months.
3What are the eligibility criteria for child’s admission?
• Play Group (Toddler) : 2.0 to 3.0 yrs. (Child must complete 2 year on or before 30th of June)
• Nursery : 3.0 to 4.0 yrs. (Child must complete 3 years on or before 30th of June)
• Jr. KG : 4.0 to 5.0 yrs. (Child must complete 4 years on or before 30th of June)
• Sr. KG : 5.0 to 6.0 yrs. (Child must complete 5 years on or before 30th of June)
4What is the curriculum of " SHIKSHA International Play School "?
The Curriculum comprises of a balanced blend of the renowned Montessori Method, Waldorf Approach, High Scope Approach, Bank Street Approach, and Reggio Emilia Approach and not to forget Phonetics as well as Quality Circle Time from experts in the field of Preschool education.
Our curriculum has been designed exclusively for an all-round development of the child, taking in to account their cognitive, physical, social, emotional and sensorial abilities.

6How are parents getting involved?
At SHIKSHA International Play School , learning involves the child, the teacher and the parent, thus encouraging a warm and open relationship between them. We appreciate parents getting involved in children’s education through projects and being a resource for their expertise in different skills, sharing information, volunteering for field trips, storytelling, sharing socializing skills etc.
7What is the quality of the teachers in your school?
Our staff is selected on the basis of their educational qualifications, relevant experience, and their attitude towards learning and learners. Our teachers are well qualified and trained by our expert trainers in the field of education. Their knowledge is updated on a regular basis.
8What is Teacher - Child ratio in the class?
To ensure optimum learning in the classrooms Teacher-Child ratio of 1:10 is maintained.
9Is there any exams interview for the admission process?
No, SHIKSHA International Play School does not believe in entry barriers to quality education. Our belief drives us to accept all children and help them to be best of themselves.
10Are there digital activities for Todd Care program?
“SHIKSHA International Play School ” displays the nutritional snacks chart for children’s growth and development that consists of recommended food groups for a particular day. This helps exposure of a child to a variety of food groups with different tastes and textures that definitely contribute to the development of healthy eating habits. Therefore it is essential for the parents to send the healthy snacks with their child during their tummy time.
11What is the assessment process in SHIKSHA International Play School?
There is no competitive assessment at SHIKSHA International Play School , but we have designed an Evaluation Methodology based on various theories to make sure about child”s holistic development.
12Does SHIKSHA International Play School follow any of the board’s?
Actually, at this level of Education, it does not directly relate to any of the Boards, as mentioned above. We have assured that the child will get the overall development based on our content and curriculum designed by our experienced R & D Team.
13What is the procedure of admission?
“SHIKSHA International Play School” adopts a first- come- first-admit policy for enrollment to its programs. The documentation requirements are as given below :
• Self-attested photocopy of the birth certificate.
• Photographs of the child and parent.
• Duly filled admission form with 1 current date and 2 postdated Cheques.
14Parentales Workshop/ Seminar?
We in SHIKSHA International Play School conducting Parentales workshops/ seminar for parents on various topics related to Child development for example Habit Formation, Phonic, How do preschoolers learn etc. Because we believe that Parents are our Partner to nurture the child development.
